If you are a trader or salesperson who deals in used cars, you will know how easy it is is to watch profit margins diminish when potential customers try to haggle you down over kerbed wheels or scratched paint work. Further, you will have experienced how cars with even the very best engines and a full service history will not achieve a top price if the paintwork is shabby or dull. An estimated 80% of the population are described as being 'visually motivated', which means that most people tend to be emotionally driven by what they see, rather than what they hear or think. A good salesman will know that emotion drives every purchase; especially when investing in a car.
Traders who have used our service generally agree that a car with unusually excellent body work and gleaming, blemish-free alloys can achieve a re-sale value of up to 30% higher than a comparable vehicle in average condition. So, why invest further money in a used car only to sell it on? How does this benefit you as a trader?
WHY INVEST IN A USED CAR?
You'll never get a second chance to make a first impression. If you want delighted, decisive customers, you have to help them to buy the car, by making the vehicle so irresistible compared to cars of a similar age, that they purchase there and then. Pitching, personality and spin can take you so far, before the customer has to make a decision: out of the thousands of like vehicles for sale, is this 'the one'? Avoid tyre-kickers and 'we'll think about it' responses by offering a stunning, eye-catching example that grabs their attention from the second they see it. Traders can forget that a car is often the first or second most expensive investment that a person will ever make. Don't warm prospects up, only for them to buy elsewhere.
Ian, a trader from Manchester recently put a 2008, high-mileage car through our pre-sale preparation service. The lacklustre vehicle had sat on his forecourt for 2 months, generating little interest, despite being in great condition mechanically. The body work was good, if a little neglected. He had lowered the price from £2,800 to £2,500, to no avail. The car was to all intents and purposes, invisible.
After five hours of elbow grease and loving investment, the same car sold within 48-hours, thanks to a makeover of fabulous shiny, protected body work and stunning wheels. The best bit? Ian not only recouped his £120 investment, but he sold the car for the full, inflated ticket price of £2,900. What a great result for Ian and his delighted customer! This service leaves everyone smiling, and most importantly - our traders are left with a healthy profit for a relatively low cost.
Valeting will not achieve the same result - valeting CAUSES damage to the paintwork, including swirl marks! This is a specialised service, for which our technician underwent extensive 1-2-1 tuition and training, under the direct supervision of a highly regarded and well-known detailer at the start of his detailing career. Please don't mistake this service for a 'luxury valet' - this is a very different service which aims to raise the vehicle's value, rather than just make it clean and shiny.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THIS SPECIALISED SERVICE?
The exterior of the car will be thoroughly clay-barred using a high quality serum, to ensure that any tar, contaminants, oils and ingrained dirt is lifted out from the paintwork to prepare the paint work for the enhancement service.
The car will then undergo a thorough, single stage machine polish, using a high-quality compound polish to ensure that small scratches, minor defects, swirl marks and hologramming is all minimised and in many cases eradicated completely.
Stone chips will be identified, colour matched using the manufacturer's paint code, minimised and weather protected/sealed to give the vehicle that blemish-free appearance and make the car look newer and well-maintained.
The paint work will then be treated to a high-gloss carnuba wax and sealant to boost the already gleaming shine to make the car really stand out.
Wheels will be polished and tyres dressed to give them that showroom shine.
For a standard four door family car (not SUV's/4x4's), we estimate the full service will take approximately three to four hours to complete. All that we ask is that you have your valeters clean and dry the exterior paintwork and wheels before we arrive.
Quotes can be given on inspection of the car, however the standard price of this service is around £120. When you compare this price to our Detailing Services page, you will see that this is a HUGE discount.
